June Newsletter: 2.0 Update, May Financial Report, Summer Zine Event, and Drive Thank You!
Check inside for some news on 2.0, the usual Financial Report, information about a new CE Team event and a huge thank you from the Drive Team!
2.0 Update
The issue we had with transferring the database over is because we’re essentially switching from two different program languages, but our Dev was able to fix it and the database transfer is complete! Connecting the dependencies is our next step and requires configuring them to the new code. We don’t have an ETA on this at the moment, but please keep an eye on the newsletter for updates!
May Financial Report
Here’s the May Financial Report.
Note from the Director of Finance’s Desk:
Just a quick thank you to everyone who supported us during our drive this year! We appreciate your support, whether you donated, spread the word about the drive or were a volunteer. You guys help make InkBlot what it is!
Here’s all of our Financial reports since November 2024.

Sci-fi Design Contest Winner
Congratulations to Shemei, the winner of our character design contest!
"Project Lion" is a design mainly inspired by biomech, sci-fi aesthetics mixed with retro, 80's vibes of older consoles (mainly showing in the color palette and cables on the design). I wanted to create design that will be presented on blueprint like paper, showing some more details of this design and giving a hint of lore that new owner can use. I wanted to create powerful, predator or hunter like design with a cyberpunk twist - they are not hunting for meat or money, they are hunting and protecting the data that is stored in their cables on the head and tail.
You can check out their carrd here to see more art.
Due to the number of entries, only one winner was selected by staff. Thank you to everyone who participated in the contest! Follow us on Bluesky and Tumblr to be the first to know about future contests!
With the 2025 Membership Drive behind us, the Drive Team will begin preparing for the 2025 Summer Sprint. More information will be available later this month, so keep an eye on our Discord and future newsletters for volunteer applications.
Special thanks goes to our team of volunteers for donating their time and talents to the drive. Our fundraisers wouldn’t be possible without them.
