2.0 Update
We know we announced that we were going to hold a demo stream last month to show off what 2.0 is going to look like before it’s release date with the Drive; transferring accounts from 1.0 to 2.0 is something we want to make happen, especially to show off how the website works in relation to interacting with posts and accounts. It’s taking a little longer than we originally expected, so instead of a stream we’ve decided to have a little video demoing how that all works once we’ve got some Mod accounts transferred over. Once we’re closer to knowing when we can put that video demo together, we’ll announce a date.
Other than that, Jay and our new Dev have been hard at work and putting a lot of hours into making 2.0 happen in time for the Drive, so please look forward to it and thank you for your patience! If you curious about 2.0, check out the end of this newsletter for more info on a special “thank you” related to 2.0 that volunteers for our 2025 Drive get!
February Financial Report - Smaller Changes
Here’s the February Financial Report.
Note from the Director of Finance’s Desk:
You’ll see a change that’s very visible on the report this month, and that’s that we technically have two payrolls listed; Square and Gusto. We’re transitioning from Square to Gusto this month as it will allow us to pay contractors outside of the US. We’ve been wanting to do this for some time, and have finally made the swap.
Other than that, another small change is that CC has it’s own Paypal account. This means lower processing fees will be taken out of our subscriptions. We should see a little bit of a decrease starting next month. All in all, the year is starting out well! Our starting and ending balances are starting to even out and our Income and Expense numbers are slowly closing the gap.
I’m also putting all our Financial Reports into a folder since we became an NPO in November 2024, so you have easy access to them. Feel free to bookmark this folder if you wish!
Deadlines for the 2025 Membership Drive volunteer applications have been extended!
You have until March 7th to apply. We’re still looking for enthusiastic blotters to fill our Pod Lead and Volunteer Artist positions. Interested in the details? Look no further!
Pod Leads…
Coordinate small teams (pods) of Volunteer Drive Artists. They’re responsible for submitting finished sketches (via an automated form— no direct contact required!) as well as picking what sketches to offer to their “pod”.
Are invited to fulfill sketch requests this year! This is optional.
Don’t need to have any prior experience. We’ll teach you everything you need!
Volunteer Artists…
Are offered sketch requests from our donor pool by their Pod Lead. While we can’t guarantee donors will ask for a specific type of character, the artist’s preference in subject matter is taken into consideration by their Pod Lead.
Can offer to “donate” anywhere from 1 to 5 sketches for the entire drive.
Volunteers for the 2025 Membership Drive, in lieu of 3 months of InkBlot Pro, will be offered entry into the InkBlot 2.0 Beta! The drive will run from April 15th until May 15th.
