FAQ - Answering the Community’s Questions
As you know, a lot of changes are happening over at InkBlot. With the newly formed Board working diligently towards getting our NPO status, there are a few things behind the scenes that have had to be paused or adjusted to make room for growth and success. The changes we’ve made are being reflected in the questions you, the community, have asked us. So we’d like to take the time to address some of them:
Where’s the App?
If you’re one of frequent mobile goers who had uninstalled the app and attempted to reinstall or perhaps are PC user looking to try out mobile, you most likely noticed that the InkBlot app can’t be found anywhere. This is not a mistake, just a bit of poor timing but I assure you it’s temporary. We’re currently due for our developer license renewal but are holding off until we’ve gotten our NPO status so that we may renew with our new EIN (essentially our business ID.) Our apps will be back!
Why Can’t I Access the Help Center?
Due to several issues with our past help desk providers, we’re currently moving things around to somewhere that we believe will better support us. We’re currently hosting things on Freshdesk here but will ultimately be moving away from Freshdesk as well.
We’re sincerely sorry for the confusion and disorganization - we’re trying to work out a cost efficient tool that doesn’t require us to be in talks with the provider’s support team on a weekly basis just to get the ticket tool running.

Are You Going to Fix the Home Feed?
Yes. The issue isn’t whether we will - but rather when and how. Currently, our devs are aware of the issue but the unfortunate reality is that we don’t have the resources to fix it in a timely manner. The Board is addressing this issue and looking into solutions but this ultimately falls under our financial pains.
However, we’re not sweeping this under the rug; this is a constant topic in the boardroom and will remain as such until things are up and running. We appreciate the patience and understanding of our community - we’re aware of how much of a pain point this has been, especially tied with our search issues, and can only ask for more time.
What Happened to Instar?
Instar is still in the works! We’re currently sitting on our acceptance emails, waiting to send them out, but we ran into a minor bump in the road: we needed mods and tech support. We’re currently still in our interview and onboarding phases but once we have everything in order, those emails will be sent out asap!

October Adopts - Win a Free Design!
Every Friday, we’re revealing adoptables that are available for a limited time on our Ko-Fi! These designs were donated by the lovely members of the community as well as some Inksters. Proceeds will go towards keeping InkBlot running while we work towards our NPO status!

On October 31st, we will be hosting an adopt raffle! All you have to do is check our socials for when our raffle form drops (we’ll only need your InkBlot username and email for you to receive the design).
