January InkBlot Newsletter: Into the New Year!
Wishing you all a Happy New Year with a community poll, mini update, and how to report bugs! Read up on InkBlot's search for board members!
Happy New Year, Blotters! Welcome to the first InkBlot newsletter of 2024! We hope you all enjoyed the Bo and Friends-themed seasonal cards in the last month’s newsletters. There will only be one newsletter for January as InkBlot works on kicking things into gear for Q1.
We’ll be going over what to do if you run into a bug, give you a look into our financial reports, and what’s going on with the Community Events team!
Community Events
The InkBlot Community Events team are taking a breather for the month of January to get all sorts of plans together for the new year! We will be letting you all know about our upcoming events soon, so keep an eye out.
In the meantime, let us know in the poll down below what kind of events you’d like to see in 2024:
Draw with InkBlot Returns

Support Wants Your Bugs!
A friendly reminder that the Inkster team is small. We can’t keep track of all the bugs without your help! If you run into an issue, a bug, or an outage, please contact support ASAP.
But, InkBlot, How do I send bug reports?
Good question! We have a few handy ways for you to get your bugs to our support team.
WebApp Chat:
You can find our support chat on the webapp! The chat bubble is located in the bottom left hand corner.
Mobile Menu Button:
On mobile? No problem! Open the side menu to find our Bug Report button.
The links aren’t working and the site is down, what do I do?
We’re no stranger to outages and possible issues with our support chat/links, which we’re deeply sorry for! In the event that you cannot use the above methods, the best way to reach support is via email: support@inkblot.art
Financial Reports & InkBlot Board Search
Starting February, our newsletters will be back on their regular schedule. The first Friday of each month will include our monthly financial report! These reports are part of our step towards further transparency.
We’re looking for members to join InkBlot’s first full Board…
The ideal InkBlot Art board member is an individual with diverse experience, background, and beliefs. They should be willing to contribute their thoughts and actions to the success of InkBlot and its worldwide community.
We believe that our board should represent the creative community and creators we serve. This includes people of color, people from working-class backgrounds, and LGBTQ+ people. We believe that these communities should be at the center of our work. Therefore, we strongly encourage applications from individuals with these identities or who belong to other marginalized communities.
We place great importance on the quality of our board members. Consequently, we have implemented an extensive board recruitment process. This process involves submitting an application, an interview with our CEO, an interview with senior volunteers and staff, a background check, and a 6-month interimship.
This process typically takes between 8-12 months. While it may seem lengthy, it is crucial for selecting highly effective board members who can contribute to our current initiatives and operations. Eligibility for board member positions requires at least 1 year of volunteership and/or paid contract position with InkBlot.
